Free fitness classes for men and women

Bristol Co-operative Gym is providing a free weekly fitness and exercise class.

The classes are open to men and women aged 18 or over who are currently navigating the UK asylum system.

Classes include exercises for any level of fitness.

The class will run at 3pm every Thursday starting on 1st February 2024.

Location

The class will be held at Bristol Cooperative Gym, based on the second floor of Bricks Bristol in St Anne’s House.

Getting here

Bus

  • There’s a bus stop directly outside St Anne’s House
  • The No. 36 bus, City Centre – Brislington via St Anne’s and Barton Hill
  • Number 42, 43, 44 or 45 bus to Blackswarth Road and a 15 minute walk

Train

  • The nearest station is Lawrence Hill
  • It’s roughly a 20 minute walk from Lawrence Hill train station (via Feeder Road)

Cycle

  • There are cycle racks outside of St Anne’s House
  • We also keep a bike pump in case of flat tyres

Walk

  • It’s roughly a 20 minute walk from Lawrence Hill train station (via Feeder Road)
  • It’s roughly a 35 minute walk from Temple Meads train station

Car

  • There are some free car parking spaces outside the building, including disabled parking

Bristol Co-operative Gym is a gym created and run by its members. We provide a safe and supportive space for everyone to enjoy exercise.
